Flickering Shadows: Interference or Incursion at Mile Marker 17?

Mile Marker 17 on Highway 64 has been a focal point of my observations for years. At 2200 hours last night, while reviewing footage from my fixed cameras, I noticed something peculiar—an inexplicable flickering shadow darting across the asphalt, devoid of any obvious source.

I've been tracking this for 7 years now, and such shadows have a tendency to manifest when other anomalies occur. The numbers don't lie, but they don't always tell the whole truth either. This time, however, the shadow's source eluded detection. It danced under a clear sky, devoid of any clouds or low-flying aircraft that might logically explain the phenomenon.

To ensure a comprehensive analysis, I returned to the site early this morning with my infrared camera and motion sensors. The preliminary data from these devices showed nothing out of the ordinary—a typical rural highway scene. But what caught my attention was the sudden spike in electromagnetic interference at the exact moment the shadow appeared.

This interference could suggest several mundane explanations:

• A local electrical malfunction affecting the streetlights
• An insect crossing the camera's path and casting an exaggerated shadow
• A passing vehicle's lights seen at an odd angle

Yet each of these possibilities seems insufficient. No evidence of electrical issues was reported, and no vehicles were present on the footage at the critical time.

Another entry for the log. The heart of the mystery remains. While the interference might be dismissed as a routine technical glitch, I'm not convinced it's purely coincidental. Coincidence has a pattern if you look long enough, and the shadows at Mile Marker 17 have danced before.

The sky doesn't lie, but it doesn't show you everything either. Could these shadows be a form of communication or a byproduct of something more significant occurring above? Or is my equipment finally beginning to show its age, yielding unpredictable results?
